Our cancellation and refund policy

Individual bookings for all workshops

Payment is due in advance of the workshop.

A month or more in advance

Where a cancellation has been made a month or more in advance of the workshop date, 100% of the workshop cost will be refunded or a booking can be moved to another workshop at no charge.

At least two weeks prior

Cancellations made at least two weeks prior to the workshop date, 50% of the workshop cost will be given for cancellations made or a booking can be moved to another workshop at no charge.

Less than two weeks prior

No refund will be given for any cancellations made less than two weeks prior to the workshop date. No bookings can be moved to alternative dates.

No notice

Should an individual book onto a workshop and not attend on the day with no prior communication, no refund will be given.

Should an individual not be able to attend a workshop on the day, for example but not limited to: not having followed any relevant instruction such as completion of workshop materials prior to attending or ensuring technology is functioning as needed, no refund will be given.

Group bookings for all open workshops

Payment is due within 28 days of the workshop date

A month or more in advance

Where a cancellation for an individual or group of, has been made a month or more in advance of the workshop date, 100% of the workshop cost will be refunded.

No refund will be given for any cancellations for individuals or group of, made less than two weeks prior to the workshop date.

Should an individual be booked onto a workshop and not attend on the day with no prior communication, no refund will be given to their employer.

Should an individual not be able to attend a workshop on the day, for example but not limited to: not having followed any relevant instruction such as completion of workshop materials prior to attending or ensuring technology is functioning as needed, no refund will be given.

In-house workshops

Invoices can be sent either before or immediately after the workshop, and the full cost is due 28 days after the workshop date.

In-house workshops held within a venue provided or sourced by the customer

In the event a workshop is cancelled and not rescheduled, in any case, 10% of the total cost of the workshop will be incurred to cover administrative fees.

If a workshop is cancelled and rescheduled, no additional fee on top of the agreed workshop cost, will be charged.

In-house workshops held within a venue sourced by Mental Health Learning

Following the booking of a workshop – that is a booking form has been completed to confirm number of participants and a date.

In the event the workshop is cancelled and not rescheduled, in any case, 10% of the total cost of the workshop will be incurred to cover administrative fees plus any cost incurred by the venue.

If a workshop is cancelled and rescheduled, no additional fee on top of the agreed workshop cost, will be charged by MHL, but the customer will be liable for any costs incurred by the venue.

Please ensure you have also read the cancellation policy which applies to you outlined above.

In addition to the cancellation policies outlined above, in the event a participant is unable to attend a livestream on the day for one of the following reasons, no refund will be given to either them or the organisation that booked their place.

  • Technology failure as a result of not having followed the guidance provided by Mental Health Learning (MHL) in advance of the livestreams.
  • Attending using a mobile phone against MHL guidance given in advance of the livestreams- participant will be turned away
  • Not having completed the online reading in advance of the livestream as stated as compulsory by MHL in order to attend the live stream
