This course builds understanding of adolescent mental health, with a focus on adolescent development and key life transitions. It explores risk and protective factors, and highlights how trusted adults can support and promote positive mental health within their setting.

  • Develop an understanding of mental health
  • Increase awareness of the developmental processes an adolescent experiences and consider transition points in life
  • Develop an understanding of the risk and protective factors that impact young people and children
  • Consider how trusted adults can promote children and young people’s mental health and how to promote positive mental health within your setting
